I heard a quote by Bell Hooks the other day that stopped me, suggesting I commit it to memory.
“The moment we choose love, we move towards freedom, liberating ourselves and others.” I sat with this notion during our 30 minute silent meditation we have on Wednesday evenings. I could see all the movements toward freedom emanating from the love choices. It was extraordinary, hopeful and innocent. I love the grandbaby pictures so much. Love to your family.
That’s a wonderful testament. And the beautiful innocence about it is the ease with which good stuff flows from that choice. The world makes it seem hard to get to that point somehow. Seem hard. But it is a choice. What’s getting in my way, except maybe me? Thank you Sue. All love to you.
It's a strange phase of life - for all of us. For part of me it feels familiar, from when Molly was so wee. And another part of me experiences it as entirely new and different. I really struggle to find the words for some of this experience. Occasionally something lands on its feet. Thanks for reading!
Mazel tov, grandpa! Congratulations, Lewis. You landed a great one. I'm sure of it. xo
Thanks, Nan. We all feel pretty good about this.
Enjoy!

Brilliant writing Stewart. Moving. The wisdom and grace held in something so young. So small. Welcome to world Lewis. We have much to learn from you.
And congratulations to the Hickman clan
